Ricky Ponting's attack will be down to the "bare bones" for Australia's match against India.

Australia have 13 fit players to choose from for Thursday's fifth one day match against India at Hyderabad.

Captain Ricky Ponting has admitted his attack will be down to the "bare bones" for the match, before allrounder Andrew McDonald and paceman Burt Cockley arrive to replace Moises Henriques and Peter Siddle, the fourth and fifth players to be sent home from the trip.

Tim Paine, Brett Lee and James Hopes had already flown home before Siddle and Henriques were sent back to Australia on consecutive days.

"It will be (bare bones), yeah," said Ponting.

"There's every chance that (Clint) McKay could come straight into the XI.

"We've got a few problems but we'll keep trying our best and we'll keep trying to find ways to get the job done."

McKay and Holland are both a chance to play, though it appears more likely that tour selector David Boon will decide to recall Adam Voges and Ben Hilfenhaus in place of Henriques and Siddle.

India expect to have Gautam Gambhir fit again after he missed the match at Mohali, and should slot him in at No.3 in place of Virat Kohli.
